Hackathon: “Fragments in Dialogue”

The Laboratory for Research on Digital Writing (LREN) is organizing the “Fragments in Dialogue” Hackathon, focusing on Intertextuality through the lens of computational methods.

We invite students from all levels, researchers, professionals, and anyone with an interest in the topic, from all fields, to join us in developing projects at the intersection of computer science and literary studies, based on two literary corpora:

  • The epigrams of the Greek Anthology

  • La Bruyère’s Characters and their reuses and adaptations in eighteenth-century French novels.

The event will take place on October 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Université de Montréal. The room will be confirmed by email at a later date. Lunch will be provided.
