Reflection workshop on Pandoc with John MacFarlane in Rouen on January 29

On January 29, 2025, the Chair of Excellence in Digital Publishing at the University of Rouen will host John MacFarlane, Professor of Philosophy at University of California, Berkeley, and author of the software pandoc, citeproc, and CommonMark.

The visit will take the form of a day of discussion at the Maison de l'Université in Mont-Saint-Aignan (Place Émile Blondel, divisible north room). Admission is free. Both sessions will be streamed online.

From 10:00 a.m., Marcello Vitali-Rosati, Victor Chaix, and Clara Grometto will discuss with him various tools developed for scholarly digital publishing, in which pandoc plays a key role, such as Stylo and le Pressoir.

In the afternoon, from 2:00 p.m., John MacFarlane will give a lecture entitled “Reflections on Pandoc.” The session will be moderated by Antoine Fauchié.
