A Conversation with Sean Takats

On Tuesday, November 18th, the digital writing research laboratory, with the support of CRIHN, had the privilege of hosting Professor Sean Takats, as part of the ongoing developments for the Revue 3.0 project.

Professor Takats, who teaches Digital History at the University of Luxembourg, is a recognized authority in the field, notably as Director of the Zotero reference management software and the Tropy research source management application.

The discussions primarily focused on current issues in digital scholarly publishing. We examined the challenges related to the interoperability of research tools, workflows from data collection to publication, as well as the imperatives of preserving scholarly content.

This meeting helped identify prospects for future collaboration. The follow-up to this work will involve a joint exploration of possible synergies between our respective technical ecosystems and the continuation of a scientific dialogue aimed at enriching the features and philosophy of the Revue 3.0 project.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Professor Takats for the time he dedicated to us.
