AI Workshop at Circé's États généraux
As part of the first États généraux des revues scientifiques du Québec organized by Réseau Circé, Alexia Schneider and Marcello Vitali-Rosati will be leading a workshop on the uses of artificial intelligence in the editorial practices of scholarly journals, with a particular focus on the search for reviewers.
The workshop will guide participants through a series of techniques designed to automate this complex task. The first step was to formulate queries to the Open Alex database, experimenting with different types of textual similarity measures, later refined using Python libraries specialized in calculating semantic distances. The workshop will also introduce the use of language micro-models, presenting alternative AI solutions to conversational approaches.
